American Idol - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

American Idol, formerly known as American Idol: The Search for a Superstar, is an American television show. It is part of the Idol series, originated as the UK show Pop Idol, a singing talent contest to determine the best "undiscovered" young singer in the country. In recent years it has become one of the most highly publicized music competitions in the world.

個人的にはKatharine McPheeが大好きで、決勝の1曲目で歌ったKT Tunstallの”Black Horse and Cherry Tree”なんか最高だったし、審査員には不評だったデビュー曲「My Destiny」なんてめっちゃくちゃいいバラードだったんだけど、優勝はTaylor Hicksでしたね！やはり彼のStevie Wonderの”Living for the City”はすごかったからね。
審査員のSimon Cowellは的を得たことを言ってるし、一番面白いくらい。いろんな人がオーディションに来てて、3人で茫然としてるところとか面白かったよ。

Katharine McPheeのデビュー曲「My Destiny」のカップリングには「Somewhere Over The Rainbow」が収録されてるっていうから是非欲しいです。また彼女はSimon Fullerのレコード会社と契約したということで、今後が楽しみですね。

2002年のSeason 1では、Kelly Clarksonが優勝であるといいますが、是非その模様を見てみたいです。（私は彼女の大ファンです!!）
