Google初のマッシュアップサイト『Summer of Green』!!
グーグル初のマッシュアップサービスが公開に--テーマは「地球環境」 - CNET Japan
Googleが、同社初のマッシュアップサービスを公開した。同社が公開したのは、地図情報を、地球に優しい、米国内の観光地5カ所とひも付けたサイトだ。これは簡単に言えば観光案内サイトですね。Google Mapsの地区ポイントをクリックすると、その場所の紹介Videoが流れるというもので、これで下調べをして、いろんなところへ行ってもらおうということです。このサイトでは、サンフランシスコ、ロサンゼルス、ラスベガス、ニューヨーク、フロリダ州オーランドにあるさまざまなスポットに関する情報や、ビデオツアーを提供する。また、夏に緑を求めて散策するためのヒントになるような情報も、Google Mapsを利用しながら説明してくれる。
このサイトにリストアップされている場所には、ラスベガスのLas Vegas Natural History MuseumやGo Raw Cafe、ロサンゼルスのTree People ParkやEcoLimo、ニューヨークのSkyscraper MuseumやCentral Park、オーランドのForever FloridaやHorse World Riding Stables、サンフランシスコのThe Red Victorian Bed and Breakfast、Exploratoriumなどがある。やはり日本でもこういったサービスが展開されるといいですね！
市や町ごとにスポットの紹介が見られるくらいにまでなって欲しいです。
